"Under observation, we act less free, which means we effectively are less free."
- Edward Snowden

The Noose is Tightening!

More and more countries around the world are taking biometric fingerprints, biometric photos and face scans as people enter their countries for business or holiday. This biometric data from around the world will, in the not too distant future, be stored forever in a gigantic database in, where else, none other than the USA. The data will be immediately accessible by all countries signed up to this horrific privacy stealing conspiracy. Bye Bye privacy and your freedom to travel!

In addition to the countries listed in the article following and the list above, you can add Panama, New Zealand, Korea, South Africa, Japan, Taiwan and Malaysia amongst others taking fingerprints upon entering their countries. You can also add the Dominican Republic to the list. They are starting to take pictures/fingerprints on arrival.

Although the Philippines and Thailand do not currently take tourist fingerprints upon arrival, they do take biometric pictures as does the United Kingdom... even for UK nationals!

In the Philippines you can enter without a visa for 30 days without being fingerprinted. However in the event you wish to extend your stay you will be required to go to a local immigration office and apply for an extension up to 59 days and be required to fingerprinted as being mandatory. This thinking will be implemented in several additional Asia countries later this, or next year we have been informed from reliable immigration sources.

If you have encountered a country not mentioned in this missive, that requires fingerprinting, or have additional or updated information from your personal experience traveling, do let us know and we'll email you a free report as a small token of our appreciation for doing so.

I wonder when one will be required to provide DNA, urine and stool samples as well as a butt scan in order to be granted the 'privilege' of visiting said country?

China to take fingerprints of foreign visitors as security step
- Ben Blanchard

China is to begin taking fingerprints of all foreign visitors as it steps up security on its borders, the Ministry of Public Security said on Thursday.

The fingerprinting of foreigners was introduced at Shenzhen airport in the south from Friday, February 10th, 2017 and it will then be gradually rolled out at other entry points around the country, the ministry said in a statement.

All foreign passport holders aged 14-70 will have to give their fingerprints, it said, without saying if other biometric data would also be collected.

The ministry said the regulation would strengthen immigration controls and increase efficiency.

The United States, Japan, Taiwan and Cambodia, among others, have similar requirements.

While Chinese border posts do not generally have overly onerous entry formalities, most visitors need a visa, though many cities have visa-free deals for visits of a few days as part of efforts to boost tourism.
