"It's not about land, or money. But the one thing that no man should ever be able to take from another man. The freedom to make his own choices about his life; Where he'll live, how he'll live, how he'll raise his family. We face a man who would take those God given rights away from us. Well not from me he's not. There can be no doubt about the price!"
- William Barrett Travis, commander of the Alamo; prior to the fall of the Alamo on March 6th, 1836, [1810-1836, aged 26 at the time of his death!]
Nowadays every issue of PT Buzz [click here to subscribe free,] published becomes more frightening and scarier than hell. In a way it's depressive to constantly and ever more frequently, continually write about attacks against our civil liberties and the ever more Draconian measures the Terrocrats are taking in order to protect us from ourselves.
The authorities, mainly in the good ole USA, are handing out 20 year prison sentences to first time offenders like it was cotton candy. We wonder if the jurors knew before hand, that the persons they convict were to receive a 20-25 prison sentence, would they (jurors) insist on a fairer sentence, or convict them in the first place? Common sense should prevail, However since when has common sense prevailed, especially in Amerika?
The Terrocrats are exactly that, terrifying bureaucrats who care less about civil liberties. And it gets worse as every week passes.
Recently in an article "Rural Maryland Cops Force Students to Disrobe During Drug Raid," eighteen 14 and 15 year old American school children at Kent County High School in Maryland's Eastern Shore, were patted down and two female students ordered to strip down and be inspected by a sheriff's deputy. No drugs or other contraband were found on any of the 18 students. Shame on America!
What has happened to Amerika? What kind of mind set has taken over rational thinking and common decency in that once great country? More important why have you allowed this to happen and what do you intend to do about it?
Really Scary Stuff
If you want to read some really scary stuff, check out H.R.2417, The Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2004 (Enrolled as Agreed to or Passed by Both House and Senate,) located at http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c108:H.R.2417.ENR:
Our good friend and associate, Doctor Walter Belford alerted us to this incredible thief of your (US) rights and freedoms.
While the nation was distracted by images of Saddam Hussein's spider hole and dental exam, President George W. Bush quietly signed into law a new bill that gives the FBI increased surveillance powers and dramatically expands the reach of the USA Patriot Act.
The Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2004 grants the FBI unprecedented power to obtain records from financial institutions without requiring permission from a judge.
Under the law, the FBI does not need to seek a court order to access such records, nor does it need to prove just cause.
Previously, under the Patriot Act, the FBI had to submit subpoena requests to a federal judge. Intelligence agencies and the Treasury Department, however, could obtain some financial data from banks, credit unions and other financial institutions without a court order or grand jury subpoena if they had the approval of a senior government official.
The new law (see Section 374 of the act), however, lets the FBI acquire these records through an administrative procedure whereby an FBI field agent simply drafts a so-called national security letter stating the information is relevant to a national security investigation.
And the law broadens the definition of "financial institution" to include such businesses as insurance companies, travel agencies, real estate agents, stockbrokers, the U.S. Postal Service and even jewelry stores, casinos and car dealerships.
The law also prohibits subpoenaed businesses from revealing to anyone, including customers who may be under investigation, that the government has requested records of their transactions.
Bush signed the bill on Dec. 13, a Saturday, which was the same day the U.S. military captured Saddam Hussein.
The USA is now a full tilt runaway machine towards a non stoppable police state, and it's approaching fast!
